Newlands Park, Huntingdon

Newlands Developments has submitted a Planning Application to Huntingdonshire District Council for Newlands Park, Huntingdon (formerly Hinchingbrooke Logistics Park); a highly sustainable industrial and logistics development, well connected with the communities of Huntingdon and nestled within an attractive setting.

The Outline Application can be found by using the following reference number: 25/01922/OUT on Huntingdonshire District Council’s Planning Portal.

Newlands is a specialist industrial and logistics developer, and we can be trusted to deliver major developments with a wealth of experience in delivering sustainable, high-quality employment sites, including Peterborough Gateway, Warth Park, and Rugby Gateway.

Logistics is increasingly recognised as critical national infrastructure in planning policy, supporting housing growth and key sectors. Logistics jobs have grown by 26% over the past decade, surpassing the 14% growth across the broader economy, driven by the surge in e-commerce. Newlands Park, Huntingdon is an ideal location for industrial and logistics uses. It offers a strategic opportunity for development, leveraging its prime location with direct access to the A1 and A14 highways. 56% of Huntingdonshire’s working age population live within 10km of the site.

Newlands Developments works with its social value partner, Fusion 21, to deliver bespoke Employment and Skills Plans (ESPs) across its projects. Workshops and meetings have been conducted with various organisations, including the CPCA Careers Hub, Constructed Pathways, Anglia Ruskin University and the Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce.

Anglia Ruskin University

‘Anglia Ruskin University would like to thank Newlands for their involvement in our Live Brief “Construction Planning and Programming” Module. This provides our undergraduate students with invaluable knowledge and understanding of construction project programming. We also look forward to the industry perspective talk their Construction Team will be giving to our Level 5 Quantity Surveying students in March.’
